Public Notice
The Town of Pawleys Island Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday April 25th, 2024. The hearing will be held in the Town of Pawleys Island Town Hall at 323 Myrtle Avenue in Pawleys Island. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public input on the following:
- VAR2024-00002: A request for a variance to Article 4.3.1: Design Standards for Lots: The applicant is requesting relief from the 50ft frontage lot requirement to create a driveway to the proposed subdivided lot on the oceanfront. The proposed lot reconfiguration would ensure that the primary residential structure meets the setback requirements established in Article 3-2.2-E Minimum Required Yard. The property is located at 520 Myrtle Ave in Pawleys Island with the Tax Map Number 42-0173-020-01-00.
- VAR2024-00003: A request for a variance to Article 3.3.1(C)(1)(b) Non-conforming structure. The applicant is requesting to voluntarily demolish an existing residential structure and retain the ability build a new residential structure on the same site. The property is located at 520 Myrtle Ave in Pawleys Island with the Tax Map Number 42-0173-020-01-00.
- VAR2024-00004: A request for a variance to Article 3-2.2(E): Minimum Required Yards. The applicant is proposing to elevate the existing structure to meet the Design Flood Elevation requirements as specified by Article 2-25 and upgrade the structure with an addition. The applicant is requesting a variance from the front and side yard setback requirements. The property is located at 211 Atlantic Ave with the Tax Map Number 42-0163-042-00-00
